The Rusty Rebels pulled off what many thought was unlikely, knocking off the 12-1 Tottenham Twisters of New Tecumseth in TOT action last night at C3. The Twisters had been on a roll, successfully defending the Beer Cup and looking nearly unstoppable. However, the Rebels’ defense stood tall, holding the Twisters scoreless in three of the first four innings.

The Rusty Rebels scored in every inning, combining timely hitting with solid defense on their way to a convincing 15-9 victory and more importantly, claiming the Beer Cup!

It was the Rebels turn to return to the legion with the Beer Cup much to the chagrin of Norm. The Rebels have little time to celebrate before they defend it tonight against the Bat Flippers at Keogh at 9:15pm.
